Added more debugging statements and paging code for LDAP as well.

Checking if LDAP was started was missing a call to open().

Use Berkeley DB instead of shelves. This probably needs more work.

remove legacy js function

Create zpools with -m (which will get reset by the subsequent inherit call)
to work around a bug that prevents zpool creation when same name directory
exists.
