kramerkeller Posted May 1, 2007 Share Posted May 1, 2007 I am looking for a good cheap webhost. I would like to utilize php and mysql. I also would like guaranteed uptime and backups. Also, I have a home server and am able to manipulate crontab files and my php.ini files. How does this work with a third party provider? Can I use phpmyadmin through third party server? steviewdr Posted May 2, 2007 Share Posted May 2, 2007 Look in the "MISC" board as there are loads of hosting Q&A's there. As for crontabs - you will have to make sure they offer these. As for php.ini. If the hosting company uses suPHP - then it is possible for users to have their own php.ini with this setup. I find however that I can change most of the settings via a .htaccess file.
