php-code only works under htdocs and not under subfolder?

I'm quite new to php, as I started using it only a few weeks ago.

 

I've installed xampp on my pc, and used it to make php-files for a few weeks now. Until recently, a php-file in a subfolder of htdocs worked fine. But for no apparent reason (to me) the php-files in my subdirectories didn't show correctly in my browser any longer, only the ones that were placed directly under my htdocs-folder.

 

I tested this by making a simple php-file, which does nothing more then display a line of text. In my htdocs-folder it worked correctly. When I copied that file to a subfolder of htdocs, it no longer worked.

 

Anyone have a clue?
