Comms Camp

Comms Camp is a hands-on workshop for corporate communications teams and the IT partners who support them. Participants bring a real communications challenge and use Viva Engage, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and practical agent workflows to build a reusable communications playbook.

Prerequisites

  • Access to Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and Viva Engage
  • Access to Microsoft 365 Copilot, where available
  • Openness to hands-on workshop participation
  • A real communications scenario, campaign, leader moment, event, or community challenge to work on

You’ll leave with:

  • A practical communications plan built around a real scenario
  • Copilot prompts and workflows for planning, drafting, and summarizing communications work
  • A communicator agent canvas for one repeatable workflow
  • A measurement and signal plan to turn employee conversations into next actions

What does the Comms Camp experience look like?

Comms Camp is built around practical communications work – not lectures. Participants use real or sample scenarios to move from a messy communications ask to a usable campaign, community, leader, or event plan.

Kickoff and scenario selection Choose one real communications challenge and define the audience, outcome, risks, and desired employee action.
Build the brief Turn a rough stakeholder ask into a strategic communications brief with Copilot support.
Engage activation Design the right Viva Engage community, leader post, campaign moment, event, or employee prompt.
Copilot and agent workflows Use Copilot to accelerate drafting and design a simple communicator agent canvas.
Signals and measurement Convert employee questions, comments, reactions, and event inputs into themes, actions, and a practical scorecard.
Peer showcase Share the finished playbook, get feedback, and identify what to use next.

Who can participate

Comms Camp is designed for organizations that want to modernize employee communications with Viva Engage, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and emerging agent patterns.

Multiple people from the same organization can attend together. The ideal group includes both communications owners and technology or adoption partners.

Requirements

  • Participants should have access to Microsoft 365 and Viva Engage.
  • Copilot access is helpful but not required for every participant. The workshop can support mixed access levels through facilitator demos, sample prompts, shared outputs, and team-based labs.
  • Each participant or team should bring a defined communications use case or select from a provided sample scenario.
