Format of the meetup. Introductions.

• Who are you?
• Have done OpenSource or New?
• Your goal. Here to learn a new framework or language? Or how to contribute?

Pair up. If possible we will pair up people new to Open Source with people who have contributed before. Choose a project.

• As a group or as pairs pick a project
• Check the recent activity of the project
• Check for open Issues. Well explained issues can be easier to get into
• Fork the repository into the https://github.com/PerthHackers repositories
• Clone that repository to your computer and get familiar with the code
• Build the project and see if you can get it to run
• Engage with the contributors.
• Feedback on any issues you hit getting set up can be invaluable
