I think users should somehow be made aware of the fact that the name and e-mail address they set with git config will show up in public commits they might make in the future. (IIRC, nothing gets put on GH with this tutorial but they might continue exploring git, GitHub, open source etc. later, at which point they might have forgotten about having set those values.) |
