How does Rubrik work with EDB Postgres AI?

Rubrik provides protection of EPAS and PGE distributions against ransomware attacks by providing an end-to-end database and recovery workflow that comprises three elements: Rubrik Security Cloud, Rubrik Secure Vault, and Rubrik Backup Service.
Rubrik Security Cloud works by serving as the central control plane in charge of the management of EPAS and PGE, where you choose which database to backup, manage the backups, and set global Service Level Agreements (SLA) policies with ease. Rubrik Secure Vault is the backend of the Rubrik solution, where the actual database files are stored. It comes with an append-only file system to ensure that your backups of EPAS and PGE are immutable, protecting them from attacks. Rubrik Backup Service helps ensure secure communication between Rubrik and EDB Postgres AI. The Rubrik Backup Service software is deployed on the host running EDB Postgres AI and doesn’t impact the host's performance. These three parts work together, as shown in the figure below.
