Aipods Pro 2 right ear bud not working

Hi all,

My Airpods Pro 2's right earbud has stopped charging and also the factory reset is not working as it should. When I hold the button on the back for about 15-20 seconds, the following happens:

Blinks amber
Blinks white
Blinks amber again with 3 beeps

For the 4th set of lights, it should blink white and should factory reset but its not working.

Also, if I forget the device and try to reconnect them, it works only when I remove the right earbud off the case and hold the back button for pairing.

Someone please help me fix this issue!

The part that stands out is that the right AirPod isn’t charging and pairing only works when you remove it from the case. That can mean the case isn’t detecting that AirPod correctly.

I’d fully charge the case, clean the right AirPod and the inside of the case carefully, then leave both AirPods in the closed case for about 30 minutes. After that, check on your iPhone whether both AirPods show a battery level.

Also, Apple’s reset procedure for AirPods Pro 2 is simply to hold the setup button for about 15 seconds until the light flashes amber and then white. You don’t need to wait for four separate light sequences.

If the right AirPod still shows no charge and the reset won’t complete with both AirPods in the case, I’d have Apple check the right AirPod and charging case.
