Connect the drive, and the stories play. We've also made playback more reliable and improved how transcripts read when you're viewing several people's answers together.

This update brings richer ways to explore the family histories shared with you. Read transcripts: every interview answer can now be read as text, not just watched. Tap any point in a transcript to jump straight to that moment in the video. Tap the search result to read it as text. Text-first histories: some shared histories may include a person's stories and searchable transcripts without their video. These now display beautifully as readable text, so no one's story is ever missing. Smarter updates: when you receive a newer or more complete version of a family history, the app now recognises it and offers to update — so you always have the fullest version shared with you.
