Chapterize 2.2 brings Siri and Shortcuts, Magic Chapters, and a rebuilt export engine. SIRI, SHORTCUTS, AND SPOTLIGHT Your episodes, shows, and chapters are available to the Shortcuts app: Open Episode, Open Show, Add Chapter, Get Chapters, and Get Chapters as Text, plus Transcribe Episode and Generate Magic Chapters on iOS 27. Say "Add a chapter in Chapterize" to Siri while an episode is playing. Episodes and shows also show up in Spotlight search. MAGIC CHAPTERS With a transcript loaded, tap the sparkles button to build a chapter list with Apple Intelligence. It works on your device, asks before replacing existing chapters, and shows its progress as it goes. Requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence. A REBUILT EXPORT ENGINE Chapterize now writes MP3 chapter tags with its own engine. Tags follow the ID3 standard exactly, chapter and episode artwork are stored as JPEG at the right size (exports with artwork are much smaller), and every export is read back and checked against the editor before the file is saved. Older Chapterize exports still open, and are cleaned up on their next export. RELIABILITY - Chapter artwork no longer disappears after an iCloud sync or after editing a chapter's title or time - A damaged session is rebuilt from its audio instead of being deleted - Imports and conversions are written in one piece, so quitting partway through never leaves a half-written file - Importing chapters from text asks before replacing your existing chapters

iCloud sync is now more dependable and a subtle change was made to metadata tags to improve compatibility with other apps.

Chapterize 2.1 is a big update. NEW: iCloud Sync Your episodes now follow you between Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Fixed an issue with MP3 encoding that could cause certain podcast apps to read the episode duration as much longer than it actually is.

Added VTT subtitle export support. Fixed an issue where changing a chapter title or link would not save when simply tabbing to the next field.

Import SRT transcripts: Already have a subtitle file? Drag an .srt file onto the editor or use the toolbar menu to import it as your transcript. Export pre-flight check: Before exporting, a summary sheet now shows your episode info and all chapters at a glance, with warnings for empty titles or duplicate timestamps so you can catch mistakes before they're baked in. New icon: it's new and nice, that's all.
