Data Transmission Service (DTS) provides the monitoring and alerting feature for data synchronization, data migration, and change tracking tasks. You can configure alert rules for important metrics in the DTS console to monitor the status of DTS tasks in real time.
Prerequisites
You have created a DTS instance or have reached the advanced configuration stage when configuring a task. For more information, see Overview of data synchronization solutions, Overview of data migration solutions, or Overview of change tracking solutions.
Notes
Full data alerting is enabled by default. The default alert rule is to generate an alert when the full data task runs for more than 24 hours.
If you need to set up monitoring and alerting for DTS tasks through the CloudMonitor platform, see Configure alert rules for DTS tasks through the CloudMonitor platform.
Configure monitoring and alerting when you create a DTS task
You can configure monitoring and alerting for different types of existing DTS tasks using similar procedures. In this example, an existing data synchronization task is used.
In the Advanced Settings stage, select Monitoring and Alerting as Yes.
Under Set Alert Rule, set the alert time threshold for task failure or latency.
ImportantIf you want to receive alert notifications, you must configure an alert subscription in the CloudMonitor console. For more information, see Configure alert rules for DTS tasks through the CloudMonitor platform.
Refer to the relevant configuration documentation to complete the subsequent configuration.
Configure monitoring and alerting for an existing DTS task
You can configure monitoring and alerting for different types of existing DTS tasks using similar procedures. In this example, an existing data synchronization task is used.
Use one of the following methods to go to the Data Synchronization page and select the region in which the data synchronization instance resides.
DTS console
Log on to the DTS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Synchronization.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region in which the data synchronization instance resides.
DMS console
NoteThe actual operations may vary based on the mode and layout of the DMS console. For more information, see Simple mode and Customize the layout and style of the DMS console.
Log on to the DMS console.
In the top navigation bar, move the pointer over Data + AI and choose
.From the drop-down list to the right of Data Synchronization Tasks, select the region in which the data synchronization instance resides.
In the Actions column of the target instance, select
.NoteYou can also click the target instance ID, and then click Alert Settings in the left-side navigation pane.
On the Alert Settings page, configure the monitoring and alerting information.

NoteIf you have enabled monitoring and alerting and need to disable or modify it, you can click Actions in the Edit column, and then in the dialog box that appears, clear Status after Enable or make modifications as needed.
Set Synchronization Latency
Click Edit in the Actions column of the Synchronization Latency metric.
In the dialog box that appears, select Enable after Status.
Set the alert time threshold for synchronization latency.
ImportantIf you want to receive alert notifications, you must configure an alert subscription in the CloudMonitor console. For more information, see Configure alert rules for DTS tasks through the CloudMonitor platform.
Click OK.
Set Full Synchronization Timeout
Click Full Synchronization Timeout in the Actions column of the metric and click Edit.
Set the alert time threshold for full data alert.
ImportantIf you want to receive alert notifications, you must configure an alert subscription in the CloudMonitor console. For more information, see Configure alert rules for DTS tasks through the CloudMonitor platform.
Click OK.
Set Synchronization Status
NoteThe Synchronization Status metric only supports enabling or disabling.
